- 1cupcold water
- 11/2 cups boiling water
- 4cupgranulated sugar
- 1/4teaspoonsalt
- 1teaspooncinnamon extract (not powder)*
- 1/2teaspoonpeppermint extract*

4 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatine 1 cup cold water 1 1/2 cups boiling water 4 cups granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt Red and green food

Soften gelatine in cold water

Add to hot syrup and stir until dissolved

Boil slowly for 15 minutes

Remove from fire and divide into two equal parts
