Stir well and let stand 1 minute

Add sugar, corn syrup and butter

Cook to soft ball stage (236 degrees F to 238 degrees F on candy thermometer)

Add vanilla extract and nuts

Beat by hand until candy begins to thicken

Pour onto buttered cookie sheet
