- 31/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1tablespoonbaking powder
- 3/4teaspoonsalt
- 1cupmilk
- 1teaspoonvanilla extract
- 8egg whites, stiffly beaten

Combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture

Mix well after each addition

Stir in vanilla

Fold in egg whites

Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9-inch round cake pans

Bake at 325 degrees F for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean
