- 4cupcake flour (after sifting)
- 4teaspoonbaking powder
- 1/4teaspoonsalt
- 1teaspoonvanilla extract
- 1cupmilk or 1 cup buttermilk plus 1 teaspoon baking soda

Add eggs, one at a time, beating until light

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together

Add alternately with milk to batter
