Ingredients
- 2(1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast
- 1/2cupwarm water (110 to 115 degrees f)
- 11/2 cups warm milk (110 to 115 degrees f)
- 6tablespoonbutter, melted
- 1cupgranulated sugar
- 1teaspoonsalt
- 2eggs, beaten
- 6to 6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

I sometimes add some flaked coconut to the filling and sprinkle some toasted coconut on top of the glaze

Dissolve yeast in water

Add milk, butter, sugar, salt, eggs and 1 1/3 cups flour and beat until smooth

Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough
