Ingredients
- 2cupall-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/2tablespoonbaking powder
- 1teaspoonsalt
- 3/4cuporange juice
- 1egg, beaten
- 2cupcranberries, chopped
- 1cupgranulated sugar
- 1/2teaspoonbaking soda

I love the tartness of the cranberries

2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted 1/2 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup orange juice 1 egg, beaten 2 cups cranberries, chopped

Sift together the dry ingredients and cut in the shortening
- 5
Combine the orange juice, orange zest, and egg mixing well
- 6
Pour over the sifted dry ingredients and mix with a few quick strokes
- 7
Fold in cranberries and nuts, reserving a few almond slices to sprinkle on the top for garnish
- 8
Spoon into a loaf pan that was lightly spray with vegetable spray and garnish the top
