In a large mixing bowl stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt

Make a well in the center

In a medium mixing bowl combine the eggs, milk and melted shortening

Add all at once to the flour mixture

Stir with a fork until the dry ingredients are just moistened

Grease 12 muffin cups

Fill until almost full
