Brown in oil in Dutch oven at 400 degrees F

This takes about 1 hour

Add scallions, water, sherry and parsley

Cover and reduce heat to 350 degrees F

Cook until tender, about 2 to 2 1/2 hours

Makes a wonderful gravy
