Ingredients

- 4dried chiltepin or pequín chiles
- 1/2cupcommercial bottled chili sauce
- 1large onion, chopped
- 2clovegarlic, chopped
- 2tablespoonbacon drippings or vegetable oil
- 1cupcatsup
- 5tablespoondistilled white vinegar

Place chiles in a blender with 1 cup of the water they were soaked in and purée until smooth

Sauté onion and garlic in oil until soft, then add remaining ingredients

Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes
