   Creme Fraiche 1/2 cup sour cream 2 cups whipping cream Place sour cream in a bowl

   Thin sour cream with a little whipping cream, then add remaining whipping cream

   Pour mixture into a clean glass jar, cover loosely, and let thicken at room temperature

   This takes about 4 to 12 hours, depending upon warmth of room

   Cover thickened mixture tightly and refrigerate

   Chill completely

   Lime Crème Fraîche Add 1 1/2 teaspoons finely grated lime peel and 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to each 1 cup of Crème Fraîche.
