- 1(8 ounce) jar maraschino cherries with juice

Put into a clear glass jar with a loose-fitting lid

Do not refrigerate

Each week add 1 of the above fruits and 1 cup sugar

After two weeks give away 2 cups

Always keep 2 and give 2 away

This is wonderful on top of ice cream.
