- 11/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2teaspoonsalt
- 6heaping tablespoons unsweetened dark dutch cocoa powder
- 2generous cups mixed chocolate chips (i like
- 1poundbutter or margarine
- 2cuppacked golden sugar

Sift cocoa into flour mixture

Add grated orange peel and mixed chocolate chips into flour mixture and mix well

In a larger bowl, beat butter on medium speed until creamy

Add golden sugar, eggs, orange juice, vanilla extract, cloves or allspice and cinnamon and beat until well blended

Stir flour mixture into butter mixture with rubber spatula until well blended
