- 21/3 cups flour
- 1/3cupunsweetened cocoa powder
- 1teaspoonbaking powder
- 1/4teaspoonsalt
- 1cuppacked brown sugar
- 1/2cupbutter or margarine
- 1/2cupvegetable shortening

Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper

In bowl set over pot of hot, not simmering, water melt chocolate until smooth

Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt

In bowl with mixer at high speed beat brown sugar, butter, shortening and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes
