- 3/4teaspoonbaking soda
- 3/4teaspoonground nutmeg
- 2cupquick-cooking rolled oats
- 1cupshortening or lard
- 1/3cupcold water

2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 2 cups quick-cooking

Mix in rolled oats

Cut in shortening and blend in water (enough to make a workable stiff dough)

Roll out on a floured board to 1/4 inch thick
