- 15broken small candy canes
- 1(14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4cup(1/2 stick) butter
- 16ouncewhite chocolate (chips or coarsely chopped bars)
- 1teaspoonpeppermint extract (i use only 1/2 teaspoon)
- 8to 10 drops red food color

In a medium saucepan, combine condensed milk and butter over low heat, stirring until butter melts and mixture is simmering
