- 1/2c water
- 1/2c light brown sugar
- 1ts vanilla
- 1ts baking soda
- 1/4ts salt
- 2/3c sweet or sour milk
- 1/4ts cream of tartar

Butter and flour 2 round 9" cake pans

Melt chocolate and 1/2c water in top of double boiler

Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 5 mins

Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time
