8 oz Hershey's semi-sweet baking chocolate, broken into pieces 1/4 c butter or margarine, softened (1/2 stick) 1/2 c sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 ts vanilla extract 1/2 c all purpose flour

- 1/2c sugar
- 1egg
- 11/2 ts vanilla extract
- 1/2c all purpose flour
- 1/4t baking powder
- 1/2c chopped nuts (optional)

In small microwave-safe bowl, place chocolate

Microwave at high (100%) 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is melted when stirred

In large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until well blended

Add egg and vanilla
