- 1cupsiftted powdered sugar
- 1/2teaspoonbaking soda
- 1egg
- 1/2can(6 oz.) frozen orange juice concentrate -- thawed
- 1teaspoonvanilla
- 2cups all purpose flour

In a large mixing bowl beat shortening and butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed about 30 seconds or until softened

Add the powdered sugar and baking soda

Beat until combined

Beat in the egg, orange juice concentrate, and vanilla until combined

Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer

Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour

Drop dough from a rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet
