- 1cup sugar
- 1/2cup dates; chopped
- 2eggs
- 1/4cup orange juice

Cream the butter (or shortening) together with sugar, until light and fluffy

Add the well beaten eggs, orange juice and rind, vanilla and mix well

Add the remaining ingredients and mix well
