- 2c sugar
- 41/2 tb vinegar
- 1/2c water
- 1/2lbchopped nuts
- 11/2 ts cinnamon
- 2eggs
- 11/2 ts baking soda

Add molasses, sugar, sirup, water, and vinegar

Sift 2 cups flour

To 1 cup add spices, salt, and baking soda

Combine with first mixture

Add citron and nuts which have been dredged with 1 cup sifted flour
