- 1/4ts baking soda
- 1/3c butter
- 3/4c sugar
- 2tb water
- 12ozsemisweet chocolate chips
- 1ts vanilla
- 2eggs

Melt together until *just begins* to boil: butter, water, sugar

Remove from heat 2

Add flour, soda and 1/2 of chips 3

Add eggs, one at a time and mix well after each 4

add vanilla 5.stir in nuts and remaining chips 6

pour into 8 or 9" square pan and bake 350 degrees 30-35 minutes
