- 1/2ts salt
- 3large egg yolks

- 1/2ts cinnamon
- 1c butter
- 1/4ts cloves

Grease square pan, 9 x 9 x 1 3/4

Mix flour, sugar, salt, egg yolks, butter and lemon rind

Divide mixture in two parts

press one part in bottom of greased pan

Mix applesauce, cinnamon, cloves and spread on top of dough in pan

Sprinkle rest of dough over applesauce

bake 40-45 minutes or until it tests done
