- 6ozsemi-sweet chocolate

- 1c sugar
- 1ts vanilla
- 3/4c sifted all-purpose flour
- 1ts salt
- 16ozcannd pitted sour cherries

Melt the butter and chocolate together

Beat the egg yolks and sugar until light

add the butter chocolate mixture, and continue mixing, add the vanilla

Stir in the flour and salt

Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites

Pour the mixture into a buttered 10" springform pan, and sprinkle the drained cherries on top
