Cream butter,cream cheese,sugar,brown sugar,egg, and vanilla in mixer bowl until light and fluffy

Combine flour,soda, and salt in small bowl

Add to creamed mixture,mix well

Stir in chocolate chips and chopped cherries

Drop by rounded teaspoonfulls onto ungreased cookie sheet
