- 1/2ts baking powder
- 1/8ts baking soda
- 1/2ts salt
- 1/2c nuts -- chopped
- 1/3c butter or margarine
- 1c brown sugar -- packed
- 1egg -- slightly beaten

mix well and set aside

Melt butter in saucepan and remove from heat

if margarine is used, add 1 tablespoon hot water.) Add brown sugar and beat well
