- 1cup cheddar; grated
- 3cup celery; sliced
- 1/2cup beer
- 1tsp caraway
- 2cup milk
- 2tsp butter
- 1/2cup flour

Add cabbage, celery, salt & caraway

Boil 5 min, drain well

Sauce: melt butter, add flour & cook, stirring 1 min

Slowly add milk in stream, stirring continuosly till sauce is smooth & thick
