- 1cup raisins
- 1/2cup nuts; optional
- 1/2cup figs
- 1cup butter
- 2tsp cinnamon
- 1tsp cloves
- 1tsp nutmeg

optional 1/2 c Figs 1 c Butter 2 ts Cinnamon 1 ts Cloves 1 ts Nutmeg 3 Eggs

well beaten 3 c Flour 2 ts Soda 1/4 ts Cream of tartar Mix well and boil together for 10 minutes the first nine ingredients

Remove and let cool thoroughly

then all eggs, flour, soda, and cream of tartar

Bake in loaf pan 350~ for about one hour
