- 1cup shortening
- 1cup molasses dark; plus
- 3tbsp molasses dark
- 3/4cup -warm water
- 1egg
- 3tsp baking soda;add to water
- 1tsp salt

Add enough flour to make a nice thick dough

Chill several hours or overnite

Roll out and cut into 3" rounds

Bake at 400 for 8 min
