- 1tsp soda
- 1cup sugar
- 1/4cup margarine
- 1egg
- 11/2 c flour
- 1/2tsp salt

Cream the sugar and margarine and add the beaten egg.Then add the date mixture and vanilla

Pour into greased and floured 8 inch square pan and bake in 350 oven 35 min
