- 1cup butter
- 2cup sugar
- 4large eggs, separated
- 1tsp vanilla
- 2cup unsifted flour
- 1tsp baking soda
- 1cup buttermilk or strong cold

Cream butter with sugar until light and fluffy

Add egg yolks, one at a time beating after each addition

Mix in melted chocolate and vanilla
