1 3/4 c Sugar 1/2 c Unsweetened cocoa 1 ts Salt 1 ts Soda 2 ts Vanilla 3/4 c Water

- 1tsp salt
- 1tsp soda
- 2tsp vanilla
- 3/4cup water
- 1/2cup shorting
- 1/2cup sour cream

CAKE------------------------------------ 2 c Flour, sifted 1 3/4 c Sugar 1/2 c Unsweetened cocoa 1 ts Salt 1 ts Soda 2 ts Vanilla 3/4 c Wate

Gradually add sugar

beat until stiff peaks form

By hand, stir in coconut, flour and vanilla

blend well

Set this mixture aside

Cake: In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients
