- 1cup whole wheat flour
- 4tsp baking soda
- 1cup nuts, broken
- 3tsp cinnamon
- 1tsp mace
- 1tsp allspice

Add apple sauce, which has been sieved to remove all lumps, molasses, eggs, and lemon juice
