2 c All purpose flour 1 c Whole wheat flour 1 1/2 c Sugar; divided 4 ts Baking powder 1 ts Salt 1 ts Nutmeg 2/3 c Shortening 1/2 c Milk 2 Eggs; beaten 2 c Apples; finely chopped

- 1/2c milk
