Built at a family table.
EverySpice started with a stack of recipes that only existed in one place each. Ron Skelton built the first version after realizing his own family's cooking — his mother Kathy L. Skelton's handwritten cook book, Pop-Pop's campfire chili, the index cards going soft and fading at the fold — had no backup. One coffee spill, one lost box in a move, and it was gone for good.
The first Legacy Table ever created on EverySpice was “The Skelton Family Legacy.” It held Kathy's cook book and Pop-Pop's chili before it held anyone else's recipes. Everything we've built since — the interviewer that turns a rambling voice memo into a cookable recipe, the vault, the hosting kit — exists to do for other families what we needed for ours.
AI didn't replace the family recipe; it saved it.
The Founding Families
The first 500 seats at the table belong to the families who build this place with us. Their names go on the wall; their prices never go up.
What we refuse to do
- No ads on family recipe pages.
- The page holding Nana's pot roast will never carry a banner for something she'd never have served.
- No star ratings on Nana.
- Family recipes get gratitude, not a 1-to-5 scorecard. Nobody's grandmother is getting 3.5 stars.
- No selling your family's data.
- Your recipes, your stories, and your family's history are not a product we sell to anyone, ever.
